Pro-Tec has worked on Ricoh equipment since 1996. We sell, service, and maintain Ricoh IM and MP series machines across metro Atlanta and North Georgia, with a particular concentration in Duluth and Gwinnett County. We were servicing this hardware before Ricoh acquired Lanier, an Atlanta-headquartered company, in January 2001. We know these machines, we stock the parts, and we dispatch to Duluth multiple times a week.
Ricoh machines report faults as SC codes. We read them over the phone, tell you whether it is a reset or a parts call, and dispatch with the right part. We service what we sell, and the warranty is ours.

Ricoh machines report faults as SC codes. An SC code is not automatically a disaster. Some clear with a power cycle. Others mean stop printing immediately, because continuing turns a part replacement into an engine replacement. Call us with the code and we will tell you which one it is before we dispatch.
If your Ricoh or Lanier machine is showing an SC code, read it to us over the phone. We can usually tell you whether it is a reset or a parts call before we send a technician.

Ricoh retired the Lanier and Savin brands on April 1, 2023. If you have a Lanier machine, it is a Ricoh machine. The engines, part numbers, and service codes are identical. Lanier machines from the Ricoh era share engines and part numbers with equivalent Ricoh models, and we have been working on both since 1996.
If someone told you your Lanier is unsupported, they are usually wrong. The parts exist. We source them. Call us for a second opinion, and read more on our Lanier service page.
[PRO-TEC: which wear parts stocked locally]. We carry the parts that actually fail: fuser assemblies, feed rollers, drum units, developer units, and waste toner containers. If a part is not on the van, we can usually source it within 24 to 48 hours from our Ricoh parts network.
The IM series is the common recommendation for offices replacing aging Lanier or MP equipment. The operator interface carries over from the MP series, and staff retraining is close to nothing. If your team already knows the Ricoh screen layout, the IM series is the same layout with current hardware behind it.
